Rates & Terms of service

Our fees are based on an hourly rate & van charge per site visit, A minimum call-out applies to all jobs of one hour’s Labour and van charge.

Plumbing Minimum charge

Charged time incl travel to the site & collecting materials & is not just time spent on site

  • Standard callout $92 hr + $35 $127 +gst

    (7.30 am- 4.30 pm) Hourly rate +van charge (per visit)

  • Hourly Charge to nearest 30min minimum blocks $92 hr +gst

  • After hours $92 hr + $100 $190 +gst

  • Public Holiday $92 + $200 $290 +gst

  • Roof Leak Investigation ( Call to book in, work is subject to safety rules, 10.4 meters max ladder ) $460 +gst

    ( two-man team, temp seal, take photos, and quote work needing to be done, doesn’t include Access equipment for larger buildings )

  • GasFitting ( By special Arrangement must call ) Quoted, estimate

Other

  • Water main leak Detection $200 hr $300 +gst

  • Drain Unblocking

(By Special Arrangement must call) $245 hr Approx $525 +gst

  • Camera Drain Inspection 30 meters max $290 hr only up to 4hrs +gst

Terms of trade

You will be asked if you have read the terms of trade at applying for a Job if you tick the box then this means you have agreed to the Terms, You will be asked again at quotes/estimates accepted agreement .

Information Domestic Customers

Please read these terms before work begins, by clicking on the email sent at booking.

By accepting that email it’s important to us that you understand the terms & way we work. Work is carried out as information you have below. Thes terms overwrite any agreements made in person, over the phone, or in any other communication. We want you to be happy with the terms contact us if you have any problems or if you think the terms need updating.

Asking Eden plumbing to carry out work on your behalf you agree to uphold your obligation under these terms of trade. If you have any questions contact us on 0224349827.

Cancellations

  • Reschedule an appointment free of charge.

  • if you need to cancel, your appointment please provide us with at least 24 hours before the job was meant to start.

  • At our, a cancellation fee of $40 applies to all appointments canceled within 24 hours of your scheduled time. (we understand if the weather has played a part, being Auckland & charge will be flagged)

    Payment

  • Payment is due upon completion, or on receipt of invoice & made by cash, debit card, online bank, or Eftpos. If VIP account holder on receiving the invoice job will need to be paid in 7 days.

  • If pause in works email invoice will be sent and this must be paid and a second or third invoice will be sent, with full payment upon receiving the invoice at each stage.

  • Payment via credit cash will be subject to a 2.9% processing fee.

    Deposits

  • A 50% deposit will be requested upfront before work commences for all jobs valued at over $1000 normally cylinder jobs or renovations.

    Refund of deposit

  • If work for which a deposit has been paid is canceled by the customer, a fee may apply to an amount refunded

  • 7days no fee

  • 2-6 days $80.00

  • less than before the appointment 48 hours $250.00

    Progress invoices

  • These cover labour & material as work progresses.

  • we will keep you informed, we normally send invoices at end of each stage (disconnection, pre-pipe, waste pipe out,fit-off, etc)

  • we will also send progress invoices for any reason there are likely to be holdups in work.

  • Just call us about anything unclear or email

  • we reserve the right to stop work if progress payments have not been met.

    Discounts

  • Are only applied at our discretion

  • Normally VIP account holders

    Unpaid accounts

  • Notify us within 3days if you don’t understand the charges or have a dispute

  • If payment remains outstanding for over 7 days from invoice due, a charge may be added to your account $90 every 3 days of no payment is received.

  • Accounts over 28 days will be referred for debt collection.

  • All costs will be added to the account.

Travel Charges

  • There is a charge for vans on call-outs to call rates each time or per job on a new day.

  • Anything outside of the first 1hr callout (1hr + van charge, to the job and to get some gear to do the job nearby) van charge will be charged at a $2km rate from your property or any job outside the zone area we normally service.

  • Standard Callout rates above & after hours, public holidays with contact.

  • All prices will include GST on the invoice, before that just base prices.

    Leak Detection

  • we use acoustics to locate a leak. The equipment may only work on larger leaks above 3 liters per minute. Trace wire only works on sizes bigger than 15mm with no jointers. The location is normally good within 1.5 meters are louder sounds. But if high levels of noise or traffic can be hard to get the location totally right and really deep mains can be harder to find. It’s not a totally right time way of finding leaks.

  • The cost for location doesn’t cover any cost of digging ground or cutting asphalt or concrete grounds.

  • we will invoice for the location and move to the next stage of planning by informing you about the job by email. Unless the go head charge up has been given.

Drain unblocking

  • We only provide the small unblocking of drains like wastes under the house to drainage and basic gullies unblocking or basic toilet unblocking. If these measures don’t work we will proceed to the next stage, calling you and booking a hydro truck to come and cut or blast the lines. They could be booked and this may not happen straight away, When I job is completed job will be invoiced and must be paid with in 7days. Charges may vary in cost.

Rubbish

  • A $15 small bag or $25 small box charge applies to any rubbish removed. In larger amounts, spoils will vary.

  • If you don’t want us to remove rubbish ask before the job takes place. Let us know

    Health & Safety

    Under the health & safety At work Act 2015

    site safety plan for work may need to be drawn up. If applicable the time charged from $170+gst

  • If any project is taken out under the health & safety Act 2015 we reserve the right to make a specific safety plan if there are changes that need to be made beyond our control. AT that same charge rate for adjustments that needed to be made.

  • Work at Height will require access equipment and/or a second site worker for safety purposes unless stated otherwise.

  • We reserve the right to alter the quote if work at height will require access equipment and/or a second site worker for safety purposes.

Under the Consumer Guarantees Act (2002), we guarantee our services will be:

• Performed with reasonable care and skill If you believe there is a fault with our workmanship please contact us immediately. We will investigate the work and we will rectify any error as soon as possible.

• Fit for the particular purpose they were supplied for If you ask us to fit a product you supply, we do not guarantee the part is fit for purpose. If there is a fault with the part we supply we will contact the manufacturer and/or remedy the work. This is consistent with your right to repair.

• Completed within a reasonable time If work is delayed due to circumstances outside our control we cannot be held responsible for this. This includes bad weather, coordination of external trades, and other site management issues.

• Priced reasonably Work is charged according to the COSTS & CHARGES formula (labor and travel costs, plus reasonable material acquisition, collection, and removal costs (if any apply). You agree to contact us immediately if you are unhappy with the work or the invoice and notify us of any defects that need rectifying.

Safety of employees or anyone from Eden plumbing and or sub-contracting to us.

Any employee of Eden plumbing has the right to leave the site if they are threatened or feel threatened by someone on the site and deem it a danger for them or their gear or vans or any items owned by us and can also be removed from the site, or believe their life is threatened or will come to harm.

We/They will not take abuse from anyone yelling or verbal abuse and bear the right to pack up and leave and report it to the base of operations, so we can deal with the matter with the owner or landlord, or tenant and be able to return safely to the site to carry on with the job or we just invoice the parties for the close of the job with us.

All tenants will be notified of our need to be on-site either by us or you. Please let us know the details of their needs.

All children on site must not be near tools or gear or items of ours or our plumbers or workers these are danger zones and we are liable if something happens to them. They will be asked to leave the room and their tenders will be asked. If these rules are not applied the employee has the right to pack up and leave the job and the job will be rebooked at your cost.

Covid safety anyone will covid or illness or pandemic must stay away from our employees and wear masks or isolation in other rooms that are safely out of the way of our workers. If an employee is not safe about anything to do with any pandemic disease he has the right to leave the site by notifying us beforehand.
